Castlerigg Stone Circle with Mountains
The Castlerigg Stone Circle is a collection of magnificent stones assembled in a meadow of short-clipped green grass near the town of Keswick, located in the county of Cumbria in Northwest England’s Lake District. The heights of the stones vary from tall and distinguished to short and characterful. As sunlight washes over them, it creates strong contrasts of lights and darks, revealing intricate mysteries within each unique shape.
In the distance, mountains arise like a song of praise to nature's splendor. The dark rugged crest of the ones closer to the viewer is set off by the bright snow-draped domes of those farther away.
